Home / Armed Forces / Land Forces / Mission The main purpose of a land forces is defined through performance of strategic, operative and tactical tasks and duties at theatre of military operations.

Main tasks of the Georgian Land Forces are:
1. Protection of the Territorial integrity;
2. Participation in the peacekeeping, humanitarian and other military trainings and operations together with the various units of GAF or/and multinational contingent;
3. Involvement in carrying out of commitments undertaken via the international agreements;
4. Cooperation with the governmental and non-governmental institutions within its competence;
5. Readiness to carry out all tasks determined by statutory acts of the Minister of Defence and the Chief of the Joint Staff of GAF .
