We wolud like to inform, that electric wiring damage at the building of the Ministry of Defence caused an ignition and the smoke was dispersed through the ventilation system. There was no fire but, employees of the Ministry were immediately evacuated from the building. Source of the damage has been already localized. As the Head of the Public Affairs Department of the Ministry, Ms. Salome Makharadze stated to the journalists there was no serious damage. “Smoke was brought out through the ventilation system. There was a small problem in electric wiring, but the employees were evacuated timely; fire prevention works were immediately provided in order to localize the problem,” Salome Makharadze said. For the moment electric wiring system is being repaired and cleaning works are being provided.
