We have recently seen the series of discussions spread online over the documentary film “Reservist” broadcast by TV Company “Sakartvelo” in 2008. The film producers have used a citation of aggressive character belonging to Adolph Hitler, which was distributed in internet in the form of video recording. It is evident that this kind of intention serves to achieve the cheap political goals of the adversaries of our country and to cast a shadow to the reputation of Defense Ministry and Armed Forces of Georgia. Representatives of the Ministry state that the film and the Hitler’s quotation used in the documentary did and do not reflect the actual position of MoD, rather than being the personal initiative and vision of the film author.
We would like to reaffirm that MoD categorically disagrees with the above-mentioned quotation as well as with the attitude expressed by the film makers.
